To help ease congestion and improve accessibility in Brecon town centre, we’ve partnered with Accessibility Powys to provide a brand-new Park & Ride service for festival visitors.

Simply park your car at Brecon Cattle Market, located just outside town, and hop on a free bus that will take you right into the heart of the action at Brecon Market Hall.

How It Works

• Parking location: Brecon Cattle Market
• Donation: £2 per vehicle (all proceeds go to Accessibility Powys)
• Opening hours: 10am – 4pm
• Bus service: Free return rides to and from the festival site

A Voice You Already Know

Vicki is a familiar voice to millions. She presents every weekday evening on Virgin Radio Chilled, as well as covering shows across Virgin Radio UK – the home of Chris Evans at Breakfast. She has also been part of the Virgin Radio Pride presenting team, bringing important stories and voices to the airwaves.

Her broadcasting career has spanned some of the UK’s biggest stations, including BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music, Absolute Radio, Heart, XFM and BBC Radio Wales, where she spent over eight years hosting the Weekend Early Breakfast. Vicki has also appeared on BBC One Wales’ Wales Live, covering topics such as type 1 diabetes, mental health and climate change.

Beyond Radio

An award-winning broadcaster, Vicki has:

• Won a Sony Radio Academy Award during her time at Absolute Radio
• Presented live events including the 6 Nations, Champions League Final, Let’s Rock festivals, and the Diana Awards
• Narrated documentaries including Secrets of the Garden and Plastic and Proud – winning Best Narration at the 2018 One Voice Awards
• Worked as the voice of global brands such as Disney, Spotify, Kingsmill, iTunes and Schwarzkopf

Vicki also co-presents the science podcast Inside the Petri Dish, blending her broadcasting talent with her scientific background – she studied Biochemistry and Medical Molecular Biology at Cardiff University, where her radio career first began.

A Celebrated Welsh Voice

In 2021, Vicki was named in the Western Mail’s Pinc List of the most influential LGBTQ+ individuals in Wales. Living in Abergavenny with her wife and children, she is deeply rooted in the local community and passionate about Welsh culture, people and creativity.

Exclusive Tasting Table with Nerys Howell, S4C Chef

One of the highlights of this year’s event is the exclusive Tasting Table, featuring renowned S4C chef, Nerys Howell. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to sample an array of food and drink offerings, including canapés, cocktails, and more, all prepared and presented by Howells herself. This interactive experience allows festival-goers to taste before they buy, ensuring they leave with their favourite local delicacies. The Tasting Table will be located in Brecon Market Hall, where visitors can enjoy a relaxed and flavoursome experience.

New Cookery Theatre Collaboration with NPTC Group and CK Deli

In an exciting new collaboration, the Brecon Beacons Food Festival has teamed up with NPTC Group and CK Deli, to introduce a brand-new Cookery Theatre in the heart of the town, located in Bethel Square. Organised by Shaun Bailey, Head Lecturer and Celebrity Chef from BBC, this culinary theatre will run from 10:00am to 4:00pm, featuring live demonstrations and cooking sessions.

Shaun Bailey will be joined by students from Powys, who will showcase their skills and passion for the culinary arts. This initiative not only offers festival attendees a chance to learn new recipes and cooking techniques but also provides a platform for the next generation of chefs to shine. The Cookery Theatre will be an engaging space where the community can come together to celebrate local talent and enjoy live cooking in a dynamic, outdoor setting.
