To help ease congestion and improve accessibility in Brecon town centre, we’ve partnered with Accessibility Powys to provide a brand-new Park & Ride service for festival visitors.

Simply park your car at Brecon Cattle Market, located just outside town, and hop on a free bus that will take you right into the heart of the action at Brecon Market Hall.

How It Works

• Parking location: Brecon Cattle Market
• Donation: £2 per vehicle (all proceeds go to Accessibility Powys)
• Opening hours: 10am – 4pm
• Bus service: Free return rides to and from the festival site

It’s a simple, affordable and accessible way for visitors to get into town, while also supporting a fantastic local charity. Event Organiser, Andrew Powell said “It’s amazing to be in this position with over 7 months until the event. This gives us the opportunity to fully focus on promoting the event and ensuring it is the best day it can be for the thousands of visitors expected on the day.

“We have our best range of exhibitors ever which promises to give the public a day to enjoy; tasting and learning about the best food and drink producers on our doorstep. We love to promote these local businesses striving to present the best meats, preserves, bread, cakes, spirits, wines, beers and the list goes on! It’s fantastic to have such a broad range of produce on offer to showcase the very best Welsh produce.

“For visitors fancying a ‘tipple’ we have Eccentric Gin, Orgasmic Cider, Little Goat Brewery and more. ‘Sweet tooths’ can get their fix from Brecon Chocolates, Llanfaes Dairy and Choc Shop. I could go on all day mentioning every exhibitor, but a wide selection can be found listed on our website for those who are interested.

“We also have a fantastic number of local businesses supporting the event this year including title sponsor Castell Howell. Without the support of these organisations the Food Festival simply wouldn’t be possible. The more businesses that get involved the bigger and better the festival can be. Each year the event is not guaranteed and without these vital sponsors the event could not be run. We were disappointed to miss out on some funding offered in previous years so new faces were needed to guarantee this year’s event.

“We are still a couple of sponsors short, but we are confident we still have time to secure these and ensure the event is promoted to its full potential. I would personally like to thank all of the local businesses and organisations for their support, contributing to this amazing event showcasing the best local and Welsh food and drink on offer.
