Following its introduction at last year’s festival, the service is once again being generously sponsored and operated by Williams Coaches, while parking donations will help raise valuable funds for local charity Accessibility Powys.

The Brecon Beacons Food Festival is one of the busiest dates in Brecon’s calendar, attracting thousands of visitors throughout the day.

With parking in the town centre understandably at a premium, the Park & Ride offers a simple alternative. Leave your car at Brecon Cattle Market, hop aboard the free bus and you’ll be dropped right at Brecon Market Hall, in the heart of the festival.

Parking costs just a £3 donation per vehicle, with the money raised going directly to Accessibility Powys.

To help ease congestion and improve accessibility in Brecon town centre, we’ve partnered with Accessibility Powys to provide a brand-new Park & Ride service for festival visitors.

Simply park your car at Brecon Cattle Market, located just outside town, and hop on a free bus that will take you right into the heart of the action at Brecon Market Hall.

How It Works

A Voice You Already Know

Vicki is a familiar voice to millions. She presents every weekday evening on Virgin Radio Chilled, as well as covering shows across Virgin Radio UK – the home of Chris Evans at Breakfast. She has also been part of the Virgin Radio Pride presenting team, bringing important stories and voices to the airwaves.

Her broadcasting career has spanned some of the UK’s biggest stations, including BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 Music, Absolute Radio, Heart, XFM and BBC Radio Wales, where she spent over eight years hosting the Weekend Early Breakfast. Vicki has also appeared on BBC One Wales’ Wales Live, covering topics such as type 1 diabetes, mental health and climate change.

Beyond Radio

An award-winning broadcaster, Vicki has:

• Won a Sony Radio Academy Award during her time at Absolute Radio
• Presented live events including the 6 Nations, Champions League Final, Let’s Rock festivals, and the Diana Awards

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we’re getting in touch to let you know that Brecon Beacons Food Festival is going to be postponed until hopefully between December and February.
As you may well be aware, the government has called on the public to stop gathering to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, and so it wouldn’t be responsible for us to go ahead with the event at this time. We hope you can join us at the food festival on the rearranged date between December and February.

Many people were looking forward to the 22nd annual Brecon Beacons Food Festival planned for Saturday 3rd October in Brecon’s Market Hall to enjoy delicious food and drink from over 70 local producers.
Event organiser, Andrew Powell said “I enjoy organising such a popular event showcasing and selling regional foods as well as promoting the beautiful town of Brecon. I have a passion for food and love to bring like-minded people together to enjoy this annual event, which is why postponing the event is such a blow. But I still want to support the producers that have worked with me over the years and so are thinking of an event at the end of the year or very early next year dependant on government restrictions at the time.
