With over two months to spare exhibitor spaces are already fully booked for this year’s Brecon Beacons Food Festival. Taste buds are tingling with the prospect of over 50 local and Welsh food and drink producers on board. The annual event will be held in the Brecon Indoor Market on Saturday 3rd June, which first started in 1997.

Event Organiser, Andrew Powell said “It’s a great feeling to have filled exhibitor spaces so early. The line up of food and drink producers is better than ever, giving me the confidence this year’s Food Festival will be better than ever!

“It’s fantastic to have such a broad range of produce on offer to showcase the very best Welsh produce. Exhibitors include sweet treats, preserves, meats, cheeses, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, and much more. The event promises to be a great day out with entertainment, an opportunity to taste delicious food and drink and meet the producers face to face.

“We also have a fantastic number of local businesses supporting the event this year including title sponsor Beacon Foods. Without the support of these organisations the Food Festival simply wouldn’t be possible. The more businesses that get involved the bigger and better the festival can be. We welcome anyone who would like to get involved to get in touch for more information. Our website details the opportunities available and the benefits to anyone who wants to get involved.”

Despite Brecon Beacons Food Festival being seven months away, eight local businesses have already committing sponsorship support. This year’s food festival will be held on Saturday 3rd October in Brecon Indoor Market and promises to be a fantastic showcase of delicious local food and drink produce, celebrity chef demonstrations, entertainment and more.

Event Organiser, Andrew Powell said “We are stunned with the amount of local businesses already committing support for this year’s Brecon Beacons Food Festival. Castell Howell Foods has become our first ‘Title Sponsor’ and a special thank-you goes to them for supporting the festival again this year.

“Without the support of Castell Howell and the other seven local businesses (so far) the event would not be possible. We have running costs to cover each year and growing marketing ambitions to ensure the festival attracts more and more visitors.

“I’d encourage any local businesses or organisations to get in touch if they are interested in supporting the event. Each year we are keen to build more mutually beneficial relationships which is why we offer a great range of sponsorship packages to suit all size businesses and organisations.”

From small rural beginnings in 1988, Castell Howell Foods have grown to become Wales’ leading independent food service wholesaler, servicing the length and breadth of Wales, the Border Counties and the South West of England.

Title sponsor, Castell Howell Foods stated, “We have proudly supported the Brecon Beacons Food Festival for over a decade and are delighted to be involved once again. The company are passionate about promoting and supplying local produce where possible, so feel their values are echoed in such an event as this, which showcases and champions local producers. They are looking forward to the show and are sure that it will exceed last year’s success.”

Other confirmed 2020 event sponsors are Beacon Foods, WJ George Butchers, Llanfaes Dairy, St Mary’s Bakery and the Old Railway Line Garden Centre.

Brecon Beacons Food Festival is excited to announce this year’s plans to spruce up its green credentials and lessen its impact on the environment. Working with the Woodland Trust and the Brecon Beacons Sustainable Development Team, the Brecon Beacons Food Festival is to give away a minimum of 500 trees at this year’s event to offset its carbon footprint.

Event Organiser, Andrew Powell said “We attract thousands of visitors each year and wondered how we could lessen our impact on the environment. It’s really exciting to team up with the Woodland Trust by offering free trees at this year’s event for visitors to plant at home.

“Our mission is to promote locally produced food and drink without air miles and mass production credentials, so it makes sense for us to pair this with such a positive, environmentally friendly campaign. I think it’s a really nice gift for hundreds of visitors to go away and a positive message to share with visitors.

“We’ve got a very exciting festival planned this year with lots of new additions and improvements including our park and ride facility. This free service will offer parking at Brecon Cattle Market on Warren Road (postcode LD3 8EX) with regular busses taking visitors to and from Brecon Market Hall in the centre of town. Brecon Cattle Market offers a large space for parking and is easily accessible from the Brecon bypass.

“Exhibitor spaces filled over six months ago which shows the demand for food and drink producers to be part of Brecon Beacons Food Festival. We have some exciting celebrity guests, cooking demonstrations and our popular education corner again this year which promises to be a fantastic day for all who attend.”

Brecon Beacons Food Festival is excited to announce a free park and ride service to visitors of this year’s event. The Food Festival, which is also free for the public to attend, will be held in Brecon Market Hall on Saturday 5thOctober.

Event Organiser, Andrew Powell said “I am delighted to offer this exciting new park and ride service to everyone coming along to this year’s event. A big thank you to Brecon Chamber of Trade and Brecon Motors for supporting the logistics and cost of setting up this invaluable service.

“The parking will be available at Brecon Cattle Market on Warren Road (postcode LD3 8EX) with regular busses taking visitors to and from Brecon Market Hall in the centre of town. Brecon Cattle Market offers a large space for parking and is easily accessible from the Brecon bypass.

“Brecon Beacons Food Festival attracts thousands of visitors each year and to have a solution like this to make parking easier, ensure less traffic congestion in the centre of Brecon and free to the public is a great addition to the event. The service will run for the full duration of the event, from 10am until 4pm.

“This year’s event promises to be the best yet including fully booked exhibitor spaces, celebrity guests and chefs. One of our special guests is ITV’s weather and TV presenter, Ruth Wignall. Ruth will be showing us her prowess in charge of the hot plate during a variety of demonstrations throughout the day. As part of the Coast and Country team she often shares many environmental and agricultural stories from around Wales, which ties in nicely with the values we promote through Brecon Beacons Food Festival.”
